The ActiveWrap® Long Duration Ice Pack delivers anywhere from two to four hours of flexible, ice-cold pain relief.

The continuous cold ability of the long duration ice pack makes it the most cost-effective solution for post-surgical cold therapy at home, in the hospital and in the PT clinic. Independently tested by trusted physical therapists as the longest-lasting cold pack wrap on the market, ActiveWrap® long duration ice stays cold and effective longer than standard packs while still maintaining flexibility. Ultimately reducing the need for expensive cryotherapy machines and potential side-effects of narcotic pain medications. These long lasting ice packs can be used over post-surgical bandages and are compatible with our ActiveWrap® wrap solutions. Each pack includes a protective nylon cover to secure targeted relief in place while protecting the skin against over-exposure.

Perfect for surgery centers, ortho hospitals, and surgery recovery at-home, this reusable long lasting cold pack offers an easy and affordable way to manage post-operative discomfort.

SIZING

  • Large (7" X 10"): knee & shoulder wraps
  • Large Square (10" X 10"): hip and back wraps
  • X-Large (13.5" x 10"): XXL back and hip wraps

How to use

  1. Place the pack in the freezer for at least two hours.
  2. Insert the frozen pack into the included nylon pouch.
  3. Attach the pack to the inside of your wrap.
  4. Use for up to 15 minutes or as directed by your medical care provider.
  5. Remove if skin becomes uncomfortable or excessively cold.
  6. Remove and allow skin to return to normal temperature before reapplying.

For post-surgical use, apply the cold pack over bandages immediately after surgery. Once bandages are removed, switch to the ActiveWrap® Standard Ice & Heat Packs for lightweight heat and ice therapy.

The pack contains a dual-stage formula: the inner ice cube blanket should freeze solid while the outer elastic gel remains soft and flexible. Do not use if the entire pack is frozen solid with no flexibility, as this indicates excessive cold. If this occurs, allow the pack to sit out at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes before application and work in by bending pack for flex.
